TRANSLATION:
For translation, I was
fortunate to enlist the help of  Fred Lindner at 3M company, where I was also employed, who was born in Switzerland and lived there many years.  He gave me a general sense of what was in the poetry quoted below:

"The poems are very romantic and sometimes use heavy language.  It was not possible to translate in depth.  There seems not to be any particular special relationship between F. Baumann and his sister-in-law.  He must have just dedicated the poems to her on a special occasion (Christmas, birthday?)  There is no one subject going through all the poems.    Nature, colors, feelings, religion, and atmosphere are mainly covered.   F. Baumann seems to be very sensible sometimes a little on the heavy side."

He also summarized the poems as I have shown them below.

The Poem booklet is about 1/4" thick 8-7/8" high and 7-1/8" wide [0.64 cm thick by 22.5 cm high by 18 cm wide]

The color is very close to that shown here, browning with age.  The borders and lettering were done by hand.  The booklet was bound at one time but now the pages are loose and somewhat fragile.
