Tanka  is a Japanese form containing five lines of 5,7,5,7,7 syllables respectively.  The form is similar to Haiku except it has an additional two lines of  7 syllables each.  The poems usually don't have rhyme or meter.

An unfortunate
honeybee flew between his
sandal and bare toes.
It stung by instinct, causing
him to share its pangs of death!3

Through paper thin walls
he heard their laughter of love
and was embarrassed
to be part of their sharing
as an uninvited guest.

For one brief moment
as I saw her image there
and my eyes met hers,
I felt she may have once cared
for someone who looked like me.

Among them stood one
who, with her extreme beauty,
increased their value
like a diamond amidst rocks
reflects light on those nearby.
