| Tanka is a Japanese form containing five
lines of 5,7,5,7,7 syllables respectively. The form is similar to Haiku except it
has an additional two lines of 7 syllables each. The poems usually don't have rhyme
or meter. |

honeybee flew between his
sandal and bare toes.
It stung by instinct, causing
him to share its pangs of death!3 |

Through paper thin walls
he heard their laughter of love
and was embarrassed
to be part of their sharing
as an uninvited guest. |

For one brief moment
as I saw her image there
and my eyes met hers,
I felt she may have once cared
for someone who looked like me. |
Visitor1
Among them stood one
who, with her extreme beauty,
increased their value
like a diamond amidst rocks
reflects light on those nearby. |
