The Beginning

So, I sit at my computer on another wintry (although sunny) day in White Bear Lake, MN spending a couple hours wondering whether to start this Blog when I have a number of more important things to do! Much of my time was used trying to choose a unique name that precedes "blogspot.com" in the URL address. Most of the usual (and unusual) names I thought of were already taken so ultimately I went with my surname "dkubiatowiczblog", unique in itself.  One can also get to this Blog using (a more simple address?)  www.kubiatowicz.com, a Domain name which is registered in my name.
